Happy Valentine's Day

I have someone new to celebrate Valentine's Day this year. He is definitely the most special guy whom I celebrate the day with from this year forth, until he meets someone meant for him...

By then, will I be able to let go? Ohh...

Let me worry about that many years later and focus on that guy I'm married with.

That guy who is showing signs of early dementia and keeps repeating silly mistakes which I am absolutely incapable of covering anymore. Taking care of a baby can't be harder than looking after a spoilt grown up!

When have I started to talk like that? This could be the first time I'm airing dirty laundry here. I don't remember we've ever fought serious in our 7 years. But now it feels like the pent up frustration just blew off all at once.

But look at him now. All curled up on the sofa and with sad puppy eyes. I haven't greeted him 'Happy Valentine's Day' today. Of course, no special homemade dinner, gift or surprise prepared. Nuthing.

Maybe it's time to make up. This is all for Valentine's Day 2012. I hope everyone else is having it sweet. :)

  2. oh oh! 7 year itch? No la, just that you are so comfortable with each other that there is no need to celebrate Valentine's, coz everyday is a Valentine day! Think of all those loving things that you do for him becoz of love: wash those smelly socks, cook dinner, that nice crisp white shirt that you ironed so lovingly (ironing which you so hate! I assume you are like BP, heehee!) If that's not love, i dont know what is!
Hope you had a great day!

  3. Oh dear. Well maybe it has just cleared tension from the air, which will have been building up. I hope things smoothed out for you.

We had to abandon plans for a Velentine's dinner and cuddles due to colds and my chest infection. We will have another 'special day' instead. Perhaps the 29th?

Thankyou so much for the beautiful gifts and letter you sent me, even in the midst of your own stress and busyness.... I have posted about them today...

I hope you are able to get help and advice- but mostly help(!) if this really is early onset dementia. I am worrying that I might have it too as my memory is getting worse and worse and I too make silly mistakes and cry from the silliness sometimes... but my doc says no, it is only stress, don't worry. But I think I will pursue for a proper test sometime this year, after all my mum's memory problems started in her 40s.... it is scary.

Stardust please do not berate yourself as you must be so tired, mentally as well as physically and you need help and a break and instead your helper in life is adding to the load instead at the moment, so of course something has to snap....

This is how i feel when I see that the housework is only done if I do it, and I have no time to do it, so there is not a single room in the house that is tidy, not even the bathroom, and then on the phone today I overheard Luvbug invite his parents to stay overnight next weekend- while I have a chest infection, so cannot blitz the place even if I thought I had time to....

BTW re the cub's marriage in the future- have you heard the British saying that you do not lose a son, you gain a daughter?? ;)

  5. Hey I hope you've made up. I know you guys are so very romantic that you'd normally do something for your special days and a day like VD.

It's actually quite a non-event for hubby and me if not for the valentine's exchange and parties for the kids in school. Don't feel bad lah. Maybe you can go eat out another day and still just "claim" that as your VD meal? ;) That's what I did with the dinner we all had under bright bright lights, not on VD itself, still to give hubby some "face", hahaha!

Hugs, I've been thinking of you. Have a blessed Fri and weekend my dear... you, Bear, and Cub. God be watching over you guys, strengthening you with joy, and may you feel His love and your love for each other every new day in abundance. Stay warm in this cold weather still, stay well.
